All Slots Made Easier #3 (Top 200 Slots & More Bonus Slot Reviews)

not worth buying
After sending this book or should I say "booklet" to my mom for her birthday gift, I was completely embarassed after my mom sent it back to me to read. There was very little info that people don't already know and the statistic information was complicated to understand and of little use. They rate the slot machines and then discount all that data by mentioning that the manufactorer sets the machines according to each casino. So don't waste your money and definately don't send as a gift!

All Slots Are Not Created Equal!
Thanks to Mitchell's latest book, I now know that all slots are not created equal.
Before reading "All Slots Made Easier #3," I carefully managed my gambling money, but without paying attention to which slot version I played. Mitchell gives readers, whether seasoned players or amateurs, a straight-forward analysis of hit frequency and payout percentage to help us ENJOY our casino experiences.

Evening the Odds
I always assumed that all slot machines were alike--boy, did I have a lot to learn! Gayle Mitchell went to the source--slot machine manufacturers--to learn slot payout ranges and average hit frequencies (how often a slot will pay). She used the data to identify 200 slots with the best percentage payouts. That list of 200 top slots is included in All Slots Made Easier #3, along with reviews of many of the top slots.

Readers are also offered a free newsletter and more gambling tips at Mitchell's web site. I feel better prepared for my next casino visit. Can't wait to try out her tips!

Slotplay : Build Your Own Jackpot!
Published in Paperback by Diamond Press (April, 1999)
Author: Carlene Cole
Amazon base price: $9.95

Beware
I cannot believe the good reviews this book has gotten. There is so little here that a serious slot player wouldn't have figured out for himself long ago. The only thing valuable is her discussion of "Times pay," and it is unnessarily vague and difficult to follow. She discusses 6 "times pay" payboards in the text, and my cards at the end numbered 3. They seemed to have been placed with the same care as the prizes in a Cracker Jack box. I felt ripped off. The book is repetitive, full of white space...in short a few ideas blown up to make a book to sell to unsuspecting buyers. It is a good thing Ms Cole does not program the slots in your favorite casino...you would be better off dropping your twelve bucks in the nearest Double Diamond machine.

What a concept!Saving money & playing the slots. Amazing
How delightfully ironic, the thought of saving money at the same time I am planning my next trip to the casino. Ms. Cole has some great tips and she presents them clearly, spiced with a real sense of humor. I can't wait to take my new Slot Play concepts with me on my next encounter with the one armed bandits. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to Ms. Cole's next creative gem.

A great book by a clear and careful writer
Financially sound. Statistically correct. This woman really knows her stuff.

Don't Waste Your Money
This book (book ? more like a pamphlet) is worthless. Nothing and I mean nothing of use here. I read both pamphlets All Slots Made Easier and All Slots Made Easier 2 and they both stink.

Slot Machines
I actually won on slot machines, for the first time! I had my trip paid for when I flew to Vegas. The book provided a simple plan to make all the different types of slot machines easier, and this easy plan helped me when the money that I normally just donate to whatever casino I visit. It is very helpfuly knowing that your odds are pretty good--that you have a better chance to win money than all the people sitting around you. This book changed me from a table player who sometimes wins, to a slot player who always wins.

SHE'S A WINNER!!!!
Wow!!! Thanks Gayle, you have made me (finally) a winner. Seemed that I attended casinos for the sole purpose of "donating" money - rarely did I ever leave with my pockets jingling.

Read your book and did I ever LEARN!!! Soooo very nice to leave the casino grinning from ear to ear. Well, not every time, but 70% more.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and insight. And, please,, keep writing about any more tips that come to mind. You just may make me rich one day.

-a frequent winner, Kathy

Martin J. Silverthorne is a...artist
I've read this and another book by Martin J. Silverthorne called "The Advantage Craps Stategy." Silverthorne promises a money-back guarantee if the strategies don't work. I tried them to the letter and they don't work. I asked for a refund and was totally ignored. Buyer beware!

The Worst Ever Written
This is hands down the worst book on slot playing ever written. I've purchased and read most books on this subject. It is impossible to choose a book with less practical, accurate, productive information and advice than this.

Beat the slots! Here's how -
This book has it all if you really want to win at slot machines. Martin Silverthorne reveals exactly how to find the highest paying slot machines in any casino. Then he gives you a number of tested slot systems you can use to play these machines. This combination is just unbeatable!

But that's not all. You will learn the professional's way of managing your slot machine bankroll. You can put this information to work to minimize your losses and lock up winnings. And best of all, you will learn how to walk away from a machine a solid winner. I have used these money management strategies with great results.

I have been using this rock solid system for over six months. I have played in Las Vegas and in Mississippi, as well as in Iowa (I travel a lot). So far, I am winning five out of six sessions. I hit one jackpot for over $5,000 on a machine I would not have played without the insider information I got from Power Slots. If you want to read funny stories, buy a different book. However, if you want to become a consistent slot machine winner, this book will give you the proven strategies you need to be a slots winner.

Robbing the One-Armed Bandits: Finding and Exploiting Advantageous Slot Machines
Published in Paperback by RGE Publishing (August, 1999)
Authors: Charles W. Lund and Charles W. Lundy
Amazon base price: $14.95
Average review score:

NOT UP TO PAR!
This book does not give the reader much of an advantage to rob the one arm bandits, unless a sledge hammer is taken to the casino. Lund does not outline any kind of a money management technique which is often implemented by most casino gambling authors. He concentrates on slot machines that are unpopular compared to the overall selection in most casinos. Most importantly he outlines strategies that try to put the player ahead by a pocket full of coins, rather than the jackpots that all slot players strive toward. Searching aimlessly for machines that offer a few more units in a bonus payout as Lund advises, will not allow a player any advantage over another in the long run. Although Lund does provide some safety tips to all players when feasting on slot machines, a strategy to break the one arm bandits is nonexistent in this book.

Lund is one of the rare authors who does not sell snake oil
Most people play slot machines for "entertainment". If that's you, you will not appreciate Lund's insights. To play the way Lund suggests is often not enjoyable. It involves stalking machines and their players waiting for them to leave machines in disadvantageous states, then pouncing on them before other similer-minded players do. But I can't emphasize this enough...it is THE ONLY way to beat slot machines in the long run. All the other books will tell you is how to lose less and have a more enjoyable experience with occasional wins. Lund only considers a certain type of slot (Bankable) because they are the only machines that can be beat. If your goal is to find a way to WIN, Lund's books are your best chance.

Unfortunately, slot machines change quickly, making some of the information in the book obsolete. Also, Lund assumes that you are playing these games in a competitive location like LV, where payouts are good. To win in less competitive venues like Indian casinos and the midwest, you may have to be more particular than Lund is.

"BANKING" IT IN!
I've just arrived to the casino and the palms Of my hands are slightly moist with anticipation. Which machine do I choose tonight. Hmmm? All games require a strategy, a game plan. Without one the chances of losing are great. When I purchased this book I was plesantly surprised. I don't gamble often but Robbing the One Armed Bandits was informative, easy to understand, and generally interesting. There are many slot machines out there to play but the question is which one, where, and when will it pay out?Although the book concentrates on Banking slots, the methodology in choosing a winning machine is well thought out. Like any game having knowledge is to your advantage. This book helps you to learn a strategy, which increases your chances of winning. If you are interested in learning a comprehensive method to win against Banking Slot machines then this book is definently the one to get. Since reading this book I am not as bewildered when I enter the casino. I feel armed and ready. I'm Banking it In!

same old stuff
There's nothing new in this book that hasn't already been written about playing slots.

Enjoyable easy read
I personally enjoyed this book, which I borrowed from the library. The part that I enjoyed the most, were the case studies near the end of the book, which described several types of slot players, and the common mistakes that they made, and how they overcame them. One case study was about a guy who won 2 million dollars playing 10 dollar slots, and continued to play after he had won. That was really interesting. There might not be much new in this book, as another reviewer mentioned, but playing slots is not as complicated as other casino games. This book is to the point, and drills home good ideas and strategies like the title suggests.

Slot Machines and Coin-Op Games: A Collector's Guide to One-Armed Bandits and Amusement Machines

slot machines?...where?
the title starts with slot machines. well there's only ten pictures of slot machines and three are blurry and two are drawings.i went through it in two minutes. don't buy for the slot machine part.

A great review of all the machines you've forgotten
Kurtz had done a beautiful job documenting many of the other arcade machines. Not slots, not pins (though both are covered) but the fortune tellers, strength testers, helicopter simulators, safe-cracking games, baseballs and bowlers that were in the rear corners of the arcades of my boyhood.

The photography is first rate. He's gone to a lot of trouble to light and photograph terrific examples. There's the usual brochure copy as well. The copy is well written, but this book is really about the pictures and captions.

A great item for your gameroom!

Nostalgic, Pre-1980 look back at the way it was.
This book was interesting in it's look back. I found no information that would have been relevent to the modern day casino, or the games of the 90's. Readers would be better served to use the price of this book in a modern day quarter machine.

Not Much New Info
I was disappointed that there was little new information from his last book. Most of the additional machines he listed were clearly not played much by him and he did not include information that I felt was reliable. Using the methods in his last book, I had some good luck, but some of his advice on certain machines clearly did not work and he did not make adjustments based on what the casinos have done. Unfortunately, the opportunity to profit from banking machines has nearly gone away and perhaps these books are part of the reason.

Slot Machine Mania

Authors: Dwayne Crevelt, Dwight E. Crevelt, John Gollehon, and Louise G. Crevelt
Amazon base price: $7.99
Average review score:

Terrible book
This book doesn't tell you anything. If you've spent any time in a casino you already know the machines are random so forget any system, and to look odds on the machine and be sure to play the all the pay lines. I thought this book would give me more but was dissapointed.

Sorry - waste of time
As a long-time casino-goer and slot machine user, I looked forward to reading this book. I was very disappointed, and am sorry to say that I found it a waste of time. It is a generalized, long-winded essay on slot machines that tells you everything you never wanted to know about them - except how to WIN on one.
