This Book it has to be said is Intelegently written, contains all you will need as far as information (not experience, that you'll get with time), and well worth investigating. Not having access to American style roulette wheels didn't stop me from winning a load of cash at all but one of my local Casinos. If you are already a Roulette player you cant help improving your play as a result of reading this book.
The stratagey wins, simple. The problem is those times when it doesn't. ...REMEMBER - this book is NOT a bullet-proof vest! You can still be gunned down.
But, I have to admit, overall I have so far shown a profit after following this system and the others in the book. Bravo Mr. Ellison. at least this book has paid for itself!!

I have researched and tested many Roulette "systems", and the 3Q/A seems to offer the best and most practical way of beating the wheel that I have seen. Although I do not have long term statistics from live play, the 3Q/A holds up against real spins recorded in several books and websites. The real test will be live against the wheel, however, I am most confident with what I have seen thus far.

Of all the gaming strategy books I have read, the Gamble to Win series has been the most helpful and informative to me. These books take you more into the head of the professional gambler than any other. And now, with Gamble to Win Roulette, the author apparently offers a strategy that reverses the casino's mathematical edge. For my money, there is no better book out there.

Pawlicki's style stands out for its scientific approach and honesty. Yet it is entertaining thanks to anecdotes and historical primers sprinkled throughout the text.

He is faithful to the scientific principle of theory and verification. He delves in a fair bit of statistics to develop expectation values for winnings and confidence levels for a given strategy. With all theory, his text is not a theoretical one, he gives very practical advice. He's not trying to play psychological games with the reader, but is honest in explaining the skill level required for the various strategies he presents. As any well researched, scientific text, he cites relevant literature and gives references.

The author understands the kinematics of the game of roulette, although readers with a college-level background of mechanics may notice the author's imprecise use of terminology. That does not deter from the author's argument though.

The book starts off with a review of the historical origins of roulette and goes quickly into the wheel layout and betting baize. He teaches how to find your way around the wheel and how to cover sectors with a minimum number of chips, "sector slicing." He picks up this topic again later in connection with dealer signatures and presents an easy-to-learn but powerful way to cover quickly every quadrant of the wheel.

His discussion on "mathematical" playing systems and why they fail is elucidating yet not really novel as the fact that the house enjoys a negative edge when the player bets on random outcomes is common knowledge.

The guts of Pawlicki's book center on "physical" aspects of the game--a variety of factors that can produce non-random outcomes or give a predictive edge to the player. The power of its message lies not in any single technique but in a toolbox of strategies that each can apply to different conditions, such as wheel watching, biased wheel play, or dealer signatures. He carefully gauges each technique by the skill level required to apply it, by the edge it provides to the player and by the assumptions underlying it. A little bit of player and casino psychology will come handy in the heat of the battle.

This book has something for everyone: the aspiring professional player, the occasional system player or the recreational player.

My first reading on roulette was a chapter in Jerry Patterson's "Casino Gambling." While interesting and a useful overview of strategies in various casino games, Patterson frequently baits the reader with information that is consistent but incomplete and then refers to his (probably expensive) gambling classes. In this, Patterson's book remains ultimately dissatisfying. If your interest is in roulette, buy Pawlicki's book. You get much more information and without the rhetoric.

the author did a good job in explaining the method used in predictive play as opposed to a random play. sadly, if a casino does only random style, then this method will not work as i have found out. the reason for this is that if a light ball is used in spinning together with a low fretted wheel, then how on earth can we predict where the ball will land as it will bounce all over the wheel? therefore, when dealing with random play, its best to look elsewhere.

This is an excellent book and one of the first to thoroughly explain and analyze all of the *legal* ways to win at roulette. It starts with a mathematical analysis of the common "systems" and shows why these can never win in the long run, but at the same time shows how to use these to "play for fun" while minimizing your losses.

The book then goes on to explain the real methods of winning including things like biased wheel detection, visual prediction, and dealer bias (a.k.a. dealer signature). It closes out with a guaranteed way to win with online casinos.

I've done extensive research on roulette, and this is one of the first that gives a very clear, well defined way of performing visual wheel tracking - and who better to explain it than the "spin doctor". I won't say that it is easy to master, but at least definitively shows how it can be done.

I do wish that he would have also explained more of his experiences with and/or knowledge of "illegal" methods, like electronic prediction. Those are always fascinating to read about.

If you are looking for real ways to win at roulette, or to at least play without losing so quickly, this book is definitely worth the reading.

This is an amazing book. It's so entertaining and easy to read you don't even realize how much you're learning. The author asks questions I'd never even thought of, then he answers them so clearly and logically that I had no trouble absorbing the information. I've read a lot of blackjack books and was never really clear on the whys behind some of the recommendations. With this book, now I know what all the others were talking about.

This is a kamikaze book, and would, if it got the attention it deserved, eviscerate the cell phone industry. If I were Robert C. Kane, I'd hire a bodyguard. The men behind the megabucks being raked in by the wireless industry can't be happy about a book like this. In lucid, readable, decisive prose, Kane, an industry insider, systematically dismantles the wireless industry's pretense of product safety. There is no pussyfooting around here about how there "may" be health concerns, as the February issue of Consumer Reports puts it. Kane starts right in on page one by stating, "Talking on a cellular phone can be likened to holding a microwave oven to one's head." Check out the last two chapters, "Public Deception I" and "Public Deception II", and the quotes from Carl Sagan and Ayn Rand. Powerful stuff. And then throw away your cell phone.

Unlike many books in the gambling genre Roulette For the CasualGambler gives solid, hands on kind of advice without the promise of large $$$$ returns.A pleasant surprise in the book were the pages about slots, sports betting, bingo and lotteries. Plus insights on how to approach the casino scene in general.More experienced roulette players will find as I did the roulette charts in the back of the book a great tool for researching roulette based on actual results. (It saved me a lot of time)

It is a technically complete yet easy read which can be understood by the rank amateur yet informative enough to provoke thought from the most experienced of gambling professionals. The methods outlined in it have helped me stay in front of the casinos for years. I feel the chapter on developing a winning attitude alone is well worth the cover price. A copy of this book belongs on the night stand or book shelf of every gambler out there,period. It is my opinion that this guide is destined to be a gambling classic.

I've been reading the books of Jerry Patterson for some 20 or so years. Over the years, he has consistently delivered fresh and unique approaches to casino gambling which have been very helpful to me. Casino Gambling is no exception. For example, "Winning Factors" for the multi-deck blackjack shoe games is something I can put into use right away.

I especially like the "getting an advantage" theme of the book which is prevalent in the blackjack, craps and roulette chapters. While I'm not a Craps player, the Advantage Craps System has me tempted to go looking for those long forgotten souvenir dice! And I like the fact that in this one book, I now have information I can use in playing any casino table game including casino poker games like Pai Gow and Let It Ride.

Chapter 2, entitled Mental Preparation, should (in my opinion), be read by anyone who ever places any type of wager. The advice given here alone, is worth the price of the book.

This book touches on many things that even most of the experienced "average gamblers" are probably unaware of. Even the blackjack player who considers themself as a good player who knows perfect basic strategy will find many other helpful ideas to improve their game, whether they wish to make use of just a few things covered in the book and play near even with the casino or seriously study and practice the tactics and make blackjack a profitable game for them. When I used to play blackjack, I had no idea that the cards were not random and lost much more than I should have at a bad table. After reading the book you should be able to eliminate those "bad" tables and keep any losses you have to a minimum by employing the prooper money management strategies. The craps and roulette chapters cover many useful ideas that most gamblers are unaware of. Whether blackjack, roulette, or craps, making use of the information in the book should seperate the reader from

majority of other gamblers. A must read for any gamblers bookshelf.

I give the book 4 stars because even though it was good reading it did'nt exactly reveal any real exciting secrets.Overall it could be used by the novice gambler to learn roulette and the best & safest ways to bet. It also gives some history on the roulette wheel and the different types used in the U.S. & abroad.

The book covers the game from all aspects and is easy to follow. It covers the game basics, and basic betting systems, and from there goes into some spin offs and playabe variations of those betting systems. It also covers other topics like biased wheels, numerical concepts that are important to playing the game, and technichal information about wheel construction and cheating (It does not teach you how to cheat). I consider the book an excellent referance for all Roulette players, and and a great addition to any library.

The wheel is the key to any attempt to win money at this game and Scoblete, a consumate gaming writer, explains exactly why that is so. The "game" of roulette is unbeatable unless the wheel is flawed or the dealers have some control over their spins. Scoblete explores both these topics in an excellent way. I think his analysis of why betting systems tend to fail is excellent and his recommendations for short-term and long-term play are on the money. This is another fine book by the King of the gambling writers.

Spin Roulette Gold is a complete analysis of roulette, betting systems that have been developed to beat the game (and don't!), and advantage-play methods that can actually give the player the edge. This is the best roulette book I have ever read and I recommend it to all roulette players and to those interested in this fascinating game. Scoblete is a great writer.

The author has a very readable and enjoyable style of writing. He does a great job of explaining the terrible-truth as to why all layout systems will fail in long-run play. But, he counters this with a very nice explanation of methods using wheel strategies, such as wheel-tracking and signature-tracking, that can actually work to overcome the house advantage.

This book is very worthwhile reading to anyone who seriously wants to play roulette and actually win. I highly recommend it.

I had gotten this book from the library about 6 years ago. After running it through the paces of a computer program, I did find that his systems do work.
The systems are based on what goes up, must come down. Well, in real life, that is not always true, at least in your bankrolls time frame. You must use money management. Also, I have found that you MUST run several progressions at the same time. It helps you ride out the ones that have gone a bit long losing.
I found his talk about poss. rigged casinos a bit dated. This was also written before online gambling, which would have been nice. He mentioned several times about the minimum table limits being too high, but they aren't too high online. Too bad those games were avoided because of this.
His talk of God and other things eternal I thought was well done, and did not go on. Plus, you can skip right over it to the systems. Would like to compare notes with others sep2034athotmail.

The systems really work, that's why I gave it 5 stars, but it's too full of syrup to be a really enjoyable read.

People who love the Lord will like this one very much. Atheists will despise it deeply. On the surface it appears to be a collection of mathematical gambling systems, but in his discussion of the phenomenon of luck, he gets into the role of the Almighty, and turns it into a treatise on the spiritual evolution of the human race. An unusual book, notable for its very great integrity. A fun book to read.

Just got done reading it and I am now testing the system a little bit at home. So far the system is working, however I can agree with another review (by a reader) in that you indeed do have to modify it a bit or else you will one day lose your shirt (and mortgage). The one thing lacking in the book is a money management section (which as a result i have come up with my own). The author sort of assumes that the reader has 2 grand in his back pocket and is ready to dive in. Don't get me wrong the system makes sense, however the reader should be prepared to make his/her own money management system with a win goal and a loss limit. Other than that its an easy read altough ... for about 40 reading pages...? Who knows with luck it will pay for itself. (knock on wood). I look forawrd to testing this some more and will remain optimistic. Progresion is only as dangerous as people allow it to be! Sometimes you just have to call it a losing night and go home!

I was sceptical at first but after reading the book and trying the system, I'm convinced. It does really work. It not only shows you how to win money on roulette, but to also keep your money, which is key to winning. Anyway give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

I've been playing roulette for the past 4 years and I have tried numerous systems (7 in total, 4 of the roulette systems I've tried are from other books I bought from Amazon.com) that give you an advantage but nothing compares to the consistent winnings I've had with John C. Steele's Roulette system. This system really WORKS !!!!! If you have tried other systems and have been disappointed like me, I can pretty much bet your search is over.
