Scoblete is the Genius of Gambling!!!!!
I have listened to this tape maybe a dozen times and it has inspired me. Scoblete knows everything there is to know about craps. I loved this tape.

When I bought it over a year ago I figured it would be interesting because Scoblete is an interesting writer and I have enjoyed his books. Now I have been following his advice since then and I have been winning and winning. Not every time but just about. I love this tape. When I travel to the casinos as I do once a week, I listen to it in my car. It primes me to get my head straight.

I think you are nuts if you play craps and don't read and listen to Scoblete. He is the MAN!

Exciting Tape
I learned a tremednous amount of information about the five count and how to beat this crazy game. This tape was great.

Great Tape for Reviewing 5-Count Strategy
If you want a thorough explanation of the Captain's 5-Count this is the tape for you. The very best gambling tape I have ever listened to.

So You Wanna Be A Gambler: Advanced Craps
This book has many, many strategies to play craps, a down to earth book for people who are not greedy,he shows mostly conservative way to play.

Hands down the best book on craps!
This is by far the best book ever written on craps. Patrick's style of writing is easy to read and very often entertaining. He gives detailed examples of different systems to use at the table. He not only describes the proper moves to make but also explains the reasoning behind each bet. Patrick briefly talks about the different bets available to a craps players and then jumps right into an analysis of the game. His style involves careful money management and a powerful regression move. By reducing your bet after a win, you lock up a profit and guarantee yourself a winner. Using Patrick's techniques for both right and wrong betting, you'll become a better player. Will you win all the time? Of course not, no system can guarantee you a winner everytime. But at those times when you do lose, Patrick's money management helps you keep the losses down. If you're looking for the big score, this book isn't for you. Advanced Craps is for the conservative player, looking to grind out small consistent wins. If you wanna win more money, bet more! Patrick's book has tought me the three most important words in craps -- Take Me Down. I highly recommend this book.

Wading Through The Crap: How to Start Living The Successful Life You Have Always Wanted
Published in Paperback by New Road Publishing (15 April, 2003)
Author: James L. Clark
Amazon base price: $19.99
Average review score:

wonderful & insightful! a great read!
This book and the Author really lays it all out for you and is very insight full. It is easy to read and understand and I got a lot out of it.

I've read it and I like it!
I have read a lot of self-help books on success over the years and this is one is a keeper. You definitely want to add to your shelf and reference it often. The material is both timeless and fresh and the author writes with a very unique style that made the material easy to understand.

I must say that I am also very impressed with the author's attitude and drive. The accomplishments he has made are inspiring and the stories he shares about his life really touched home for me.

The author may take some flack for putting his beliefs out in the open like he does in this book and for taking a no-excuse position with personal responsibility, but the people that will grumble will be those who will never step up to the plate and take a swing.

Take it from someone who has read the book from cover-to-cover and can honestly and objectively comment on the content: it is an excellent read full of very insightful information. I highly recommend it.

IS so good!
James L. Clark's book WADING THROUGH THE CRAP is excellent! When I first read the title I laughed out loud and just had to find out what was inside. I was not disappointed. The author uses his well developed wit and intelligence to convey, in plain speak, effective tools to taking immediate control over your life. It is simple but powerful guidebook that is an essential part of anyone's library that is serious about success.

In particular, I really liked the chapter on emotions. It is tremendously insightful and filled with all kinds of information about how our feelings work and how states are created. Best of all, the author provides examples and tools of how to manage them to prevent being controlled by them.

In my opinion, this book is top notch.

Scarne on Dice

Author: John Scarne
Amazon base price: $5.99

Greatest Authority of the Game - Wonderful, Wonderful
John Scarne is the master when it comes to all types of gambling. If you want to learn the best way of understanding what the true "odds" of the game are, read his books. He goes into detail about how people cheat at the games and what to do. His argument about different methods of play are very accurate in showing you how you will eventially lose. I have always played the game using the "true odds" and have managed to come out a winner. His presentation of using money management is very important and "MUST" be considered whenever you play. I would highly recommend this book to my friends.

The complete guide to Craps
If you want to know every thing about craps read this boo

Best book I've seen for giving you the house percentage.
This is a great book for knowing what is a good bet and what is not a good bet. For example, regarding the Crap Table, Scarne gives you the house percentage (P.C.)that is against you for every bet. He also gives you the odds for any type of roll or bet.

Absolutely Brilliant
Brilliant Book, teaching you your not stuck and how to relive the problems of every day life. Absolute must reading for those who unsatisfied in their daily lives but have no idea on how to change this. Written in everyday language without the common psycho babble. Easy to read. Close to a 12 Step Program for every day life.

Great book
"Cut the CRAP and Resolve Your Problems" is one of, if not the best, self-help books of the past 5 years (That is -- besides the book I wrote, THE PROCRASTINATOR'S HANDBOOK.) Why? Because it delivers on its promise of being a simple yet compelling process to help each of us achieve our goals. What Drs. Cox and Sanders have done is to distill into four easy to remember words, the four things that we all do to get in our own way. These four words--Catastrophizing, Rationalizing, Agonizing and (my favoritie) Procrastinating--are explained in detail both as to what they are and how they act as obstacles to success. For example, if you are deeply in debt, it is primarily related to rationalizing. If you are still in the same job after 10 years, it is probably due to agonizing. And, of course, if that degree program isn't yet completed, it is probably due to procrastinating.

The exercises are really helpful and I liked the way the authors recommend that you read the book first, then go back through and do the exercises. In summary, if you let it, this book can really make a difference in your life.

An amazing book!
This book is terrific. Through using the approaches described in it, I have had a great deal of fun playing craps in casinos around the world, and have managed not to lose my shirt in the process (an amazing feat given how much I have played and the fact that the house always has the advantage of the "vig"). I highly recommend this book to craps players of any experience level.

Caution: read this before entering a casino!
This is an absolute must for anyone who wants to step foot in a casino. I can't say enough good things about this book. John Patrick lays out a road map for minimizing losses and maximizing your chances to WIN. If you follow his rules, you will become a winner.

Craps: Playing for the Money

Amazon base price: $19.95
Average review score:

An Excellent Book for the Craps Beginner
If you are just learning to play craps, this is the book you need to read before you risk any money in the casino. Mr Medansky does an excellent job of covering the basics of how to play, but then goes beyond this recommends important money managment and betting guidelines.

Those craps players looking for a system will find one in Mr. Medansky's book. He discloses his evaluation of the system using The Craps System Tester and even his results playing the system in Las Vegas Casinos.

I like Mr. Medansky's sidebar chapters, too, on the history of the game, comps and craps trivia...

Takes all the mystery out of Craps - A must read
I bought this book while I was leaving Las Vegas with a couple friends who were "knowledgable" about the game. I read it non-stop for 4 hours on the flight home. What I found out amazed me, not the least of which was that my friends had a lot to learn.

The book provides an understanding of the basic game, all the bets on the table, and a winning strategy that works. Since reading the book, 3 times cover to cover, and playing on my PC, I've played a couple times in Las Vegas, and both times walked away a winner. I fully realize this was part skill, and part luck. But without the book, I would have not had the knowledge to even begin to play smart.

Buy the book - you won't regret it. It provides a strategy for the long haul, not just one lucky experience. It explains everything. And the next time you are at the tables, you'll find out just how silly everyone else is.

Answers All The Questions About Craps
While some of the strategies are not complete, i.e., some circumstances are not covered, for the most part, this book gives a quick yet thorough view of what craps is AND how to bet. Many bets in craps are not good investments; he tells why.

Dice Angel
Published in Paperback by Hardway Press (05 February, 2002)
Author: Brian Rouff
Amazon base price: $14.95
Average review score:

A winning hand............
Dice Angel is a terrific tale of hard times, love, and hope with a big dose of zaniness!! Brian Rouff brings together a crazy cast of characters and sets them down in Las Vegas where life deals out some tough situations. Jimmy Delaney is the proud owner of a "saloon and supper club"named Jimmy D's, that he inherited from his father. He is a divorced dad whose daughter, Jenny is the light of his life! His ex-wife however casts a dark shadow over his life no matter where she is! When Jimmy's bar is burglarized things begin to go downhill quickly. He finds out that Owen, his accountant(and former brother-in-law) has disappeared without a trace, and so has all the money. Jimmy's insurance has lapsed, his bills have gone unpaid, he owes back taxes. When he attempts to take out a loan to come up with some fast money he finds out that the IRS has put a lien on the bar. He attempts to negotiate with the IRS, but that turns out to be a bigger nightmare than he had ever imagined. The IRS demands full payment in one week's time. When Jimmy's homeless friend gives him a business card for a woman who promises to bring him luck in gambling, and since Jimmy is at the end of his financial rope, he gives her a call. Is she for real, or is she just another down and out ... looking for an easy mark? The story grabs you like a streak of luck and holds your attention like a winning hand in a poker game!!
Brian Rouff has a unique talent for creating such realistic, earthy conversation by his characters that it is easy to imagine you actually hear what is being said rather than reading it! His characters are uniquely real, poignant, wierd and funny! They draw you in and make you care about what is happening to them. His writing transports you into their lives and as in real life you really are not sure what is going to happen next and surprises await you. This is a terrific story that is full of life and humor that round out the dark edges and lets the light in!!

Great writing, characters--Las Vegas comes alive
James Delaney, Jr. better known as Jimmy D, owns a successful bar in Las Vegas, has a great relationship with his young daughter, and thinks he has his drinking and gambling problems under control. But when a break-in at the bar turns into something more serious, everything begins to unravel. The bar has been looted, the IRS is after Jimmy for more than he can possibly afford, and the IRS lien on the business means he can't even borrow against it. Drinking starts to look more atractive. But gambling isn't an option--Jimmy has learned one thing for sure, he has no luck on the gambling tables of Las Vegas. Even when a homeless friend gives him the battered business card of Amaris, the 'Dice Angel,' Jimmy has learned how to say know. Gambling nearly ruined his life and cost him his marriage. But what other options can he pursue?

Author Brian Rouff delivers a truly fine read in DICE ANGEL. Jimmy comes off as real and human, battling his problems, the IRS bureaucracy, and himself as he gets more and more deeply into trouble. Rouff does a good job letting Jimmy get close to a solution, only to see it twist away before he can grasp it. Jimmy's relationships with his daughter, his employees, and eventually with Amaris too are human and enjoyable.

Rouff has a good feel for Las Vegas and the people who make it their home. For them, and for those of us reading DICE ANGEL, Las Vegas comes alive in a very real way.

I enjoyed DICE ANGEL a lot and recommend it without hesitation.

"Dice Angel" rocks
Eavesdropping-quality dialogue, a riot of quirky characters, a local's perspective of a Las Vegas setting... What more could anyone ask in a novel? I felt like an insider, a friend of Jimmy Delaney, as I zipped through the pages. I loved the development of these terrific characters, and I loved their names... I laughed out loud nearly every page; the only other author who has that effect on me is Janet Evanovich... Hmm, I think Stephanie Plum and her grandmother would fit right into Jimmy Delaney's world... There's a collaboration for you! Seriously, this book was a real treat to read; you cannot go wrong with "Dice Angel". Wish I could find a dice angel of my own!
